Leaves fall

“New beginnings start in darkness, in the process of letting go, and stepping down, just as we see in nature, as the trees lose their leaves, and seeds fall to be buried in the Earth.” ~ Abbey of the Arts

What new beginnings might your letting go invite?

Seedbombs

Someone recently shared with me the concept of a Japanese seedbomb. A bunch of different seeds are put in a ball of clay. The seedbomb is then tossed into a field. The soil is best for whatever seeds grow well from the mix.

In what area of life or work are you pondering the soil? What seeds do you have to toss? How long are you willing to watch for growth?

Our weary soul rejoices

I have been pondering the communal aspect of Sabbath keeping. People shaped by shared rhythms, together learning God’s rhythms, together inspiring each other to cease our labor and trust God’s provision.

Who inspires your Sabbath practices? How do you lead others in Sabbath rhythms?

Red-eyed

“Learning to be amphibious, that is, adapting to life in these two radically divergent realms, heaven and earth, demands of us that we learn to see again through different lenses than those to which we have become accustomed.“ ~ Luci Shaw, Breath for the bones

How are you moving between heaven and earth?
