A table in the wilderness

Can God really spread a table in the wilderness? Even though God struck the rock so that waters gushed out and torrents overflowed, can God also give bread, or provide meat for his people? Psalm 78:19-20

Where do you find nourishment these days? Do you question God’s ability to provide?

Hiking uncharted territory

A hike on a familiar trail is comfortable. We know the twists and turns, the views and resting spots. These days, we find ourselves in unknown territory. It is harder to find our way. We do not clearly see the terrain ahead nor do we really have a map. (Did you recognize this map of Charlottesville?!)

How do you navigate the unknown terrain of our current times? What new paths are you discovering?

God’s presence

God is present with us each and every moment. Yet how often do we notice? How often do we pay attention to our surroundings and see God? How do we mark the moments and spaces when we do notice God?

Holy boldness

Give us holy boldness, Lord: to struggle for justice until we die.

The butterfly has eyes, the chameleon blends in, the turtle has a shell, the bug turns into a stick…nature has many ways to protect those bold enough to venture out.

What gives you the courage to be bold?

Bird watching

I am watching the birds sitting on the wire and wonder, “What do you see?” The beauty of the world before you? The gift of being part of God’s creation? Having a conversation with God about the daily stuff of life? Or simple being?

What do you see with bird’s eyes view?
