Intuitive

In order to be effective messengers of hope, we must begin by trusting our inner voice, an inner intuition that speaks into the vast wastelands of our time. ~ Makoto Fujimura

What does your intuition see beyond the wasteland?

Bedrock

“Artists are notorious for doing work that the world initially rejects but that later—sometimes centuries later—the world embraces as hidden treasure. The poems of Emily Dickinson, the paintings of Vincent van Gogh, the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, all were “discovered” later and now are essential to our culture. Could it be that what is deemed marginal, what is “useless” in our terms, is most essential for God and is the bedrock, the essence, of our culture?” ~ Makoto Fujimura

Stretching

And the thing about blooming is, nothing about the process is easy. It requires every part of you to stretch upward, with your roots firmly planted in the ground; and in the sun, and in the rain, and wind, you stand anyway, even against the pull of the soil. And through it all, one day you will see all along you were transforming. This took everything out of you, but the struggle was beautiful and necessary for your growth. ~ Morgan Harper Nichols

Where are you stretching upward?

Not without

“Those who believe they believe in God, but without passion in their hearts, without anguish of mind, without uncertainty, without doubts, and even at times without despair, believe only in the idea of God, not in God Himself.” ~ Unamuno

When are we stuck on the idea?

One hat, two hats…

We all wear many hats though usually not all at once. Or do we? When do you lose track which one is on your head? How is the hat you wear an expression of your soul? How does it embody your heart?
