New life

Spring is full of new life and it caught my attention that new life follows a period of rest or apparent death…whether seedlings poking through the ground, flowers coming up from bulbs, butterflies emerging from their chrysalis….

How do we pay attention to the rest and stillness that comes before new life?

Fissures

Sabbath is an opening in the downpour of life. Stopping to withdraw from the never ending demands and anxiety of “not enough” and leaning into God’s more than enough.
