Rhine river

Watching the boats go up-and-down the Rhine, I notice the markers to keep the boats from running aground.

What markers keep you in the deep flow of life?

Observing

“Be still. Take time to really observe before you step. Vigilantly seek to see and uncover the universe of relationships that is in place before you step. Recognize that you are in relationship with the setting…” ~ John Paul Lederach, The Moral Imagination

How do you notice connections?

Sabbath rhythm

“God tackled the job of creating in chunks, leaving rhythmic space between evening and morning, between beginnings and endings…” ~ Adele Ahlberg Calhoun

How do you create the in between spaces?

Entering

May my mind come alive today
To the invisible geography
That invites me to new frontiers,
To break the dead shell of yesterdays,

To risk being disturbed and changed.” ~ John O’Donohue

What draws your eye as you enter the day?

Don’t know

“The difference between confusion and ‘don’t know’ is that confusion can only see one way out and that way is blocked, while ‘don’t know’ is open to miracles and insights.” ~ Joyce Rupp

What “don’t know” opens paths of curiosity?

Change

I began this blog almost two years ago as the pandemic shut down life and shifted my work for a Louisville Institute Grant. As Covid restrictions are easing and we find new rhythms, I am moving to posting three days a week (MWF).

What are you letting go off as we are shifting out of the pandemic?
